The 2nd-graders at La Cañada Elementary School combined their reading skills and art talents and created a pumpkin character from their favorite book. The pumpkin character joined them in class. The students introduce their pumpkin guest, explaining what book they read. Some of the characters were from “Ivy and Bean,” “Creepy Carrot,” “Dog Man” and the classic, “Alice in Wonderland,” among others.
