The La Cañada Junior Women’s Club invited former and current members and their guests to an evening of dinner, drinks, dancing and surprises at a historic Prohibition-era Flintridge estate last week. A Spanish Colonial Revivalist estate set the backdrop for “An Enchanted Evening” at the villa. The LCJWC annual fundraiser was led by gala chair Jill Chapman. The home, once a Pasadena Showcase House of Design, was built in the 1920s to resemble a Spanish castle and includes a speakeasy bar hidden behind the wood panels in a study. Proceeds from the event benefit the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House and Five Acres, and featured drinks and food, a silent auction, wine toss, and dancing on the expansive, multi-level grounds of the estate.
