The La Cañada Flintridge and La Crescenta Chambers of Commerce recently hosted booths at the Cresenta Valley Sheriff’s National Night Out. Visitors had the option of taking a tour of the Sheriff’s Station, which included a look inside the jail. Freshly grilled hotdogs were also provided. Vintage cars were on hand.
National Night Out is an event meant to increase awareness of police programs such as drug prevention, town/neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts. The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada.
