More than 100 people attended La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation’s annual Meet the STARS (Superintendents, Teachers and Administrators Responsible for Our Students) event. The meet-and-greet took place at the home of LCFEF board member and host Rodney Swan, and featured a cocktail hour and appetizers catered from Gelson’s store.
“We thought that giving our donors access to talk to and ask questions of our district administrators would be a nice way to thank them for their support, along with a lovely evening spent with like-minded individuals,” said LCFEF Vice President Caroline Anderson.
“School families who are ‘early bird’ donors and who make outright gifts of $1,200 or more at Back to School Night are all invited to this event. Their early giving really gives LCFEF the lift-off we need to jump-start our annual campaign each year,” said LCFEF Executive Director Marilyn Yang.
