La Cañada Flintridge held its annual Memorial Day Service in Memorial Park, beginning with a raising of flags and playing of anthems by the La Cañada High School band. The Monday event was organized by Joe Puglia. Henry Vaughn played “Taps” and opening remarks were made by Mayor Leonard Pieroni.
