Korean Cultural Festival Honors Traditions

The fourth annual Korean Cultural Festival was a great success in Memorial Park last Saturday. It included music and dance performances, cultural presentations, martial art exhibitions, and games and rides for the children. The festival celebrates the traditional Korean Harvest Day and encourages young people to respect and appreciate diversity, heritage and traditional values. Kim Wan Joong, consul general of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles, spoke to the crowd. Local students made a special presentation to honor Korean War veterans.
