The La Cañada Council of PTAs presented its district Founders Day celebration last week honoring those individuals who help make La Cañada Unified School District schools better places to learn and grow. Parent volunteers, staff members and administrators at each site are nominated by staff, students, parents, administrators and Governing Board members as standing out, going above and beyond to dedicate their talents and time to the kids in the school district.
This year’s 29 recipients representing each of the district’s five school sites and three honorees from the PTA Council Unit were celebrated at a reception at the La Cañada High School auditorium last week. Along with honorees’ families, friends and co-workers, state Sen. Anthony Portantino was in attendance as well as LCUSD Governing Board members.
