La Cañada Presbyterian Church’s Parent Education program recently held its annual benefit, “Keep Calm and Bowl On” at Bowlmor Pasadena. More than 115 people spent the night bowling and celebrating LCPC’s Parent Education Program. The benefit was emceed by Ron Pearson and the Rev. Chuck Osburn and raised a record amount of money through underwriting, donations, opportunity drawing and live and online auctions. This year’s Parent Ed “Shining Star,” Kathy Kovalcik, was also recognized by program director Anne Bierling for her years of service to LCPC and the Greater La Cañada Flintridge community.
The event was hosted by the LCPC Parent Education Board, including Ashley Barrett (benefit co-chair), Hillary Clayburgh (silent auction co-chair), Katie Enney (publicity), Betsy Farhat (benefit co-chair), Lynne Graves (online chair), Maggie Mason (historian), Charlotte Miller (opportunity drawing chair), Darby Pearson (silent auction co-chair), Angela Shepherd-Isgholian (class representative chair), Ashley Smith, (secretary), Carol Van Citters (board chair), Meg Wade (treasurer) and Anne Bierling (director).
