USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Women’s Council held a luncheon recently to celebrate its 45th year. Since 1973, the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Women’s Council has raised more than $3 million to benefit the hospital. The council is a diverse group of women with a desire to contribute through philanthropy. Funds raised at the event benefit the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, featuring six private rooms that provides an ideal environment for babies, mothers, and the whole family to heal and thrive. The USC-VHH Women’s Council recently presented Verdugo Hills CEO Keith Hobbs with a check for $20,000. Hobbs talked about the new NICU that opened in April and all the new innovations that set Verdugo Hills apart from other hospitals in the area.
