Sheriff’s Crime Report

A burglary was reported in the 5100 block of Princess Anne Road on May 24 at 12:35 p.m. The victim told the deputy that she was having lunch in the area and was notified via Ring camera that her front door was open and the electric garage door was halfway open. After the notification, she came home, parked and waited for the deputy to come. A protective sweep was conducted and there were no suspects found. In the victim’s surveillance footage, three male suspects entered the house through the back French doors.
One suspect was wearing a gray tracksuit, a black T-shirt, a blue face mask and a black cap. Another suspect was wearing black pants, a gray hoodie and a blue face mask as well, and the third suspect wore the same type of clothing. In the video, one suspect squatted down and used an unknown tool to break the glass on the rear doors.
All three suspects entered the residence and the alarm was activated after a minute. The suspects were seen on the camera located inside the garage yelling at one another and later ran toward the victim’s garage door. The suspects ransacked two bedrooms in the house, but the victim said nothing was taken. One of the suspects left blood inside of the house on the wall adjacent to the door that leads to the garage.

A burglary was reported in the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard between May 24 and May 25 at 9:05 p.m. The victim said a suspect forced entry by smashing the front entrance glass door with an unknown object. The suspect took the black cash register and walked out the front entrance. The victim has surveillance cameras installed, but they were not recording at the time of the incident. The business next door was also burglarized overnight, and the register was stolen as well.

A burglary was reported in the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard on May 25 at 2:58 a.m. The victim stated that his business was broken into and showed the deputy surveillance footage that was captured. The video revealed the legs of two people walking back and forth in the front of the business, and a male adult, wearing all black, use an unknown object to smash the front entrance glass door. The suspect entered the business and stole a black cash register and exited through the front entrance.

A burglary was reported in the 700 block of Foothill Boulevard on May 23 between 3:35 a.m. and 3:37 a.m. The victim told the deputy that he left the rear window slightly open from the kitchen of a business. Later, he saw it was wide open with the screen missing. He searched the area and saw the cash register, coin box and safe missing. He checked his surveillance footages and saw a male wearing a light-colored hoodie, sweatpants, gloves and Jordan 4’s shoes. The suspect walked from the kitchen area to the front counter carrying a pickaxe, started to swing at the bolted down safe and was eventually able to pry it off. Another suspect grabbed the coin box from underneath the shelf while the other suspect tore the cash register from the shelf drawer.

A robbery was reported in the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard on May 24 at 12:40 a.m. The call indicated that an unknown male wearing a black T-shirt with white jeans wrestled with the individual over alcohol and fled in a white sedan. The individual identified himself as a nighttime shift manager, and while he was preparing to close the store, the suspect walked into the business and walked over to the liquor section. The suspect grabbed eight packs of canned vodka and a box of hard seltzers and returned to the cashier line and asked the manager where he could pay for the items. While the manger was trying to scan the items, the suspect tried to take them out of his hands, and the two wrestled a bit until the manager just let it go and the suspect immediately ran out of the store with the items. The suspect dropped some of the items while attempting to escape, and the manager confirmed that he fled the scene empty-handed.
