The city of La Cañada Flintridge and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station announced that they are increasing patrols to help prevent residential burglaries.
Residents will see more uniformed patrols in their neighborhoods, officials said. Deputies will be investigating suspicious activity that could be linked to burglary crews. They will be conducting vacation checks and conducting traffic stops when appropriate.
In the coming weeks, authorities will also be conducting a public safety campaign via social media to give residents tips on preventing and reporting crime.
“This multi-point approach is geared toward our station, the city and our community working together to stop crime and safely apprehend criminals,” said the station in a press release.
Officials ask residents to stay vigilant, report any suspicious activity, and work together to keep the community secure. To report suspicious activity, call the station at (818) 248-3464. If it is an emergency, dial 911.
