Glendale NCL Chapter Holds Annual Blood Drive

The Glendale Chapter of National Charity League Inc. will hold its 18th annual “From the Heart” American Red Cross Blood Drive on Sunday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, 1812 Verdugo Blvd. Glendale, in Council Rooms A-D.
The summer is a time when blood supplies are very low and donors are urgently needed. Members of the community are encouraged to make an appointment to donate by emailing nclglendalefromtheheart@gmail.com or by signing up for this drive on the American Red Cross website at redcross.org and entering sponsor code “nclglendale.” All donors will receive a $15 e-gift card after the event. Donors are also treated to homemade cookies and treats made by the mother and daughter chapter members.
“Superheroes save lives and so do blood donors,” said Stacy Sartor, chapter president. “If you knew your blood could save a life you’d give. Our goal is to collect 100 blood donations and inspire greater awareness for how critical it is to make a blood donation.”
Chairing the event are members Regina Baker, Sophie Chopra and Ann Sahakian. For more information on From the Heart, email nclglendalefromtheheart@gmail.com.
