The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ tennis team was scheduled to host Crescenta Valley in its season opener on Wednesday, Aug. 31, but the showdown between the crosstown rivals was canceled due to heat. Instead, the Spartans will host Flintridge Sacred Heart on Monday, Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves improved to 2-0 after a dominant 11-1 victory at Milken Community School in Los Angeles last Tuesday. Flintridge Prep previously collected a season-opening victory by edging visiting South Pasadena, 10-8. No individual statistics were reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
The Wolves will play Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy at Scholl Canyon Golf & Tennis Club on Friday, Sept. 9, at 3:15 p.m.

The Tologs dropped their nonleague season-opener at Burbank High School, 11-7.
