Outlook Valley Sun
It was Health and Fitness Week at La Cañada Elementary School. Students were encourage to walk or jog each morning to the music that was being played. During lunch, yoga and jump rope demonstrations and instructions were offered. Hula hoops were available for a different type of exercise and coordination. Nutritionist Hiroyo Ito-Sanchez from USC Keck Medicine talked about hydrating with water and making healthy beverage selections. Students enjoyed the samples and the fruit and vegetable garnishments. Parent Shital Taylor chaired the weeklong event.
