John C Tosello

Date of Death

John was born in Campinas, Brazil in 1950 to Rino Natal Tosello of Brazil and Virginia Booher of Long Beach.

He is survived by his wife Toni, daughter Jovanna, son Christopher, his brother Stanley and sister Rebecca.

John began his legal career with Los Angeles County as a Public Defender and later joined the District Attorney’s Office until his retirement. He proudly and tirelessly dedicated 31 years to public service.

In his community of La Cañada Flintridge, he was involved with AYSO Soccer as a coach and referee. At the local YMCA, he participated in the Indian Guide program with his children, Jovanna and Christopher and served as chairman of the YMCA Childcare Committee. John was a parishioner at St. George’s Episcopal Church. He served on the Vestry, taught Sunday School and assisted with the youth programs.  John was instrumental in organizing yearly outreach programs as a service project in bringing the youth of La Cañada to the community of Red Shirts on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 18, at 2:00 pm at St George’s Episcopal Church located at 808 Foothill Blvd. La Cañada, CA. 91011. He will be interned at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
