Date of Death

John R. Gurley “Jack,” born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1933, passed away peacefully at home in Pasadena on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at age 90. Upon moving to Pasadena in 1950, Jack attended PCC and graduated from USC, followed by enlisting in the Army and serving for two years with the 2nd Armored Division in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

He was a past president of the Economic Round Table, the Fiduciary Round Table, and the Twilight Club. Jack was also a member of the University Club and Rotary Club of Pasadena.
In 2016, he lost Birthe, the love of his life.
Jack’s memory will forever be in the hearts of his family — his children, Alise Stutin and John H. Gurley; his grandchildren, Tyler Stutin, Annika Stutin and John C. Gurley; and three great-grandchildren.
