Date of Death

Patricia Sue (Daugherty) Fyfe, 63, of Thousand Oaks, CA, formerly of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022, at The Reserve at Thousand Oaks.

Born in Van Nuys, CA, on May 11, 1959, moving to Glendale, CA shortly thereafter, Patty is the daughter of the late Richard L. Daugherty and the late Betty Lou (Dacey) Daugherty. She graduated from La Canada High School Class of 1978 and went on to study art, law, and family counseling at San Bernardino Valley College. Patty’s professional experiences brought her to some of the top law firm offices in Los Angeles and, later in life, she became a licensed insurance agent in Arizona and California.

Patty’s true passion was art, watercolor painting, stenciling and charcoal. She was often found on a ladder stenciling southwest motifs across entryways and kitchens throughout Scottsdale neighborhoods. Patty was a Board Member of the Southern Arizona Artists Guild and held the positions of Grants & Endowments Coordinator and President. She developed a program that sent Southern Arizona High School students to visit The Getty Museum in Los Angeles. This experience sparked her spirit of volunteerism, and she enjoyed inspiring students to pursue art.

Fly fishing in Jackson Hole Wyoming and bone fishing in the Florida Keys made some of her fondest memories. She cherished her friends dearly and enjoyed being active in the Thousand Oaks community. Patty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, and sister and will be missed by everyone who loved her.

Patty is survived by her daughter, Marchelle Wilson, of San Diego, CA; her two sons, Douglas Fyfe Jr., and Jack Fyfe, both of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She had three grandchildren. Also surviving her are her siblings: sister, Lynne Day, of Vermillion, South Dakota, and her brothers, Daniel Daugherty of Sachse, Texas and Robert Daugherty of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
