Educational Foundation Hosts Korean Parent Mixer

The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation recently held its eighth annual Korean American Parent Mixer at the home of Andrew and Diana Hong, raising funds for the La Cañada Unified Schools. It was a successful event for the district, which brought together more than 70 guests who dined on a gourmet Korean dinner, complemented by live music provided by a jazz ensemble. In attendance were LCUSD administrators, including Superintendent Wendy Sinnette, Assistant Principals Kip Glazer and Kristina Kalb, Paradise Canyon Elementary Principal Carrie Hetzel, La Cañada Elementary Principal Emily Blaney and Evette Kim to represent state Sen. Anthony Portantino. LCFEF President Caroline Anderson and Executive Director Marilyn Yang were also present to support the event. LCFEF directors who chaired the evening’s festivities were Sunyoung Kim Fahimi, Julie Bae, Sharon Park Lue and Diana Hong.
