LCUSD to Accept New Parcel Tax Committee Members

La Cañada Unified School District is updating membership on the Parcel Tax Oversight Committee to monitor the parcel tax which was approved in the March 2014 election.
The purpose of the committee is to ensure that the special tax funds are spent for their authorized purpose and to report annually to the Governing Board and the public regarding expenditures of such funds. The committee meets twice each year and reports to the Governing Board in the spring.
The committee consists of seven community members. A member of the La Cañada Unified School District Governing Board will serve as liaison to the committee. Members of the committee will be representative of the following categories: parents or guardians of current students, a representative of the business community, a senior citizen and a member at large. The term of a committee member will be up to five years.
