First published in the Sept. 8 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

The La Cañada Unified School District celebrated Palm Crest Elementary School’s two newly constructed buildings and 20 new classrooms with a ribbon cutting ceremony before its annual back to school night last week. Superintendent Wendy Sinnette thanked everyone involved with the Measure LCF project, saying, “It’s a real testament to the support, the generosity and the partnership we have with our community. So many people have worked so hard to have this be accomplished.” Among those who were present for the ceremony were (from right) school board member Kaitzer Puglia, Jamie Lewsadder, board member Caroline Anderson, Sinnette, PCR Principal Amy Marcoullier, school board President Dan Jeffries and Vice President Joe Radabaugh.
