Thanks to generous donations during the 2021-22 school year, the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation exceeded their goal by $500,000 by contributing a record $2.5 million to the La Cañada Unified School District at Tuesday’s district governing board meeting.
“We’re very, very grateful to the volunteers and staff, and all their hard work, endurance with event after event every month, and their creative ways to fundraise,” said Superintendent Wendy Sinnette. “LCUSD would not be the school district it is today without the educational foundation,” she said, noting that the funds allow the district to build the new College Career Center at the high school, maintain optimum class sizes, continue funding the Wellness Center and many other programs.
