We have lived in La Cañada Flintridge since 2002, and we are in our 21st year as parents in LCUSD. If you do the math, you’ll see that’s no coincidence — we moved here for our outstanding schools, and have loved being part of the schools community for all of this time, particularly serving as president of the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation, several parcel tax and bond campaigns, and the DEI Committee.
Nothing is more important to us than our kids’ education, and that means having the right people on our school board.
This year, we are supporting Debra Barsom, a school mom, attorney, volunteer and passionate advocate for our children. I first met Deb in 2003, when she and I worked for the same law firm. Although she was fresh out of law school, she was an incredibly quick learner and it was clear she would become an outstanding lawyer, which she has done.
Fast forward to 2022. Having observed the entire campaign and spoken with all four candidates, I see that Deb’s intellect, curiosity, courage, and creative approach to problem-solving make her the best choice for LCUSD Governing Board. I think it’s also important to have an elementary school parent on the board, so that newer parents will know there is someone there currently walking the same path they are walking.
We are confident that with Deb on our school board, we as parents will have a voice. Please join us in supporting Deb Barsom for LCUSD Governing Board.
