The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost a nonleague matchup at Arcadia, 11-9, last Thursday.
Senior captain Shereen Emadi registered a game-high seven goals, including five in the first half. Sophomore teammate Lilli Perner scored a pair of goals while sophomore Annalina Fogarty had one goal.
The Spartans previously lost their season opener at Glendora, 16-8. Junior captain Kadyn Day racked up a team-high five goals while Emadi scored three goals.
LCHS (0-2 overall) will compete in the Corona tournament on Dec. 16-17 before opening Rio Hondo League action at Temple City on Thursday, Jan. 5.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs remained unbeaten after routing host Mayfield Senior of Pasadena, 21-1, in a nonleague game at Occidental College last Friday.
FSHA is off to its best start in school history with an 11-0 record while outscoring opponents 211-46 over that span. FSHA’s offense has been relentless by scoring 20-plus goals in six games while the defense has limited opponents to five or fewer goals in eight games.
The Tologs previously collected their 10th straight victory after beating host Flintridge Prep, 16-3, in a nonleague game. Marisol Cowles racked up a game-high seven goals while Lily Waggoner registered three goals. Kaitlyn Beltz added a pair of goals while Guinevere Andrews, Kate Dolan and Bella Valdivia each scored once.
The Tologs will host Westridge School of Pasadena in a nonleague game on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 3:15 p.m.

FLINTIRDGE PREP

The Wolves lost against visiting Pasadena Poly, 13-9, in a Prep League game last Friday. Alex Thein produced a team-high four goals while Nico Seaver registered three goals. Dahlia Kamins finished with seven saves while Kateline Kinne and Victoria Barry each scored once.
Flintridge Prep lost a nonleague game against visiting Flintridge Sacred Heart, 16-3, last Wednesday. Kamins racked up 11 saves, Seaver scored a pair of goals and Naomi Cohen had one goal.
The Wolves previously defeated visiting Mayfield Senior, 11-5, in their league opener, as Kamins amassed 15 saves. Seaver tallied six goals, Barry recorded three goals and Thein posted two goals.
Flintridge Prep (4-5 overall, 1-1 in league) will visit Westridge School for a league game on Friday, Dec. 16, at 4 p.m.
