City Seeks Applicants for Commission, Committee Vacancies

The city of La Cañada Flintridge is seeking applications from residents to serve on city commissions, councils and committees. Those interested may submit an application to the office of the city clerk by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 27.
Applications may be submitted in person, by mail, fax or by e-mail to tgarcia@lcf.ca.gov. Applications can be obtained online at cityoflcf.org/city-clerk/commissions-boards-committees/.
The city’s commissions advise the City Council on matters within specific areas of responsibility. All commissioners serve four-year terms, except members of Youth Council, who serve one-year or two-year terms. The commissions and committee members are appointed by the City Council. All commission and committee members must be LCF residents with the exception of one member of the Design Commission, who should be an owner or manager of a business within the city.
Positions are available on all of the city’s commissions, which include the Design Commission, Investment & Financing Advisory Committee, Parks & Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Commission, Public Works and Traffic Commission and Youth Council.
The City Council is tentatively scheduled to make the appointments at its May 23 meeting.
For more information, contact the city clerk’s office at (818) 790-8880 or visit cityoflcf.org.
