The 5th-graders at La Cañada Elementary School recently celebrated the end of school with a luau at Memorial Park.
Even though the weather was cloudy, the students brought a festive spirit, wearing Hawaiian and surfing-themed shirts, hats, sunglasses and colorful leis.
Parent volunteers served lunch at the event. Afterward, it was game time, with participants playing sack and relay races.
A special touch to the luau was the photo booth, which gave everyone the ability to save their memories that will last a lifetime.
