La Cañada Flintridge’s own Caren Saiet recently started a production company, CS Productions, with the intention of bringing more live theater to the communities in which she works as a realtor and utilizing local talent.
CS Productions’ first offering, “Broadway Under the Stars,” which ran Aug. 18 and 19 to packed houses at FIS Outdoor Auditorium, was well-received by the community.
The cabaret-style concert, featuring songs from some of the most recent Broadway hit shows, including “Mean Girls,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Hadestown” and “Next to Normal,” featured LCF residents Clara, Lindsay (music direction) and Tessa Henriod, Anna Pacino, Soren Ryssdal, Caren Saiet (producer/director), Quinn Scherbert, Lucy Winzenried and Patrick Beller, Anthony Galang and Garret Sullivan.
Saiet, who hopes to start working on her next production soon, stated, “In order to continue mounting productions, I am relying on the generosity of the community in which I work and play. Please consider sending a donation via Venmo to @CS_Productions.”
