Flintridge Prep Extends Win Streak

The Flintridge Preparatory varsity 8-man football team extended its win streak after defeating visiting Mammoth High of Mammoth Lakes 54-29 in a nonleague showdown on Sept. 8.
Senior captain Noah Willingham rushed for a team-best 255 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. He also added four receptions for 50 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Meanwhile, senior captain Alex Chorba completed 10 passes for 116 yards and five touchdowns.
Sophomore Will Grable finished with three catches for 29 yards and one touchdown, and added six tackles on defense. Junior John Battaglia finished with two receptions for 23 yards and one touchdown, and contributed to the defense with an interception and four tackles. Sophomore Owen Willingham had a 14-yard touchdown catch and an interception on defense.
Sophomore Nico Chapman tallied eight tackles, while junior Miles Yum registered six tackles. Sophomore Andrew Battaglia contributed five tackles and an interception, while senior captain Kevin Zhang and sophomore Mac Peutet each finished with five tackles. Junior Ray Cabrera had three tackles, while junior Calvin Chen had one tackle.
The undefeated Wolves (3-0 overall) will visit Thacher High in Ojai for a nonleague game on Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. before visiting Santa Clarita Christian in Canyon County on Oct. 7.
