La Cañada Congregational Church will sponsor two Halloween-themed events this weekend.
First, the church will kick off the festivities with a free showing of “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” at Memorial Park on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costumes to trick-or-treat.
Next, the church’s music department and guest artists will present an Evensong concert on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 4 p.m. The event will feature spiritual and spooky music of the season, including Bach, Mozart, Rutter and more. A reception will follow, and free-will offering at the event will support the church’s music program.
