LCPC Presents Jazz Vespers on Sunday

The Jack Lantz Sextet will present a Jazz Vespers concert and worship experience featuring the jazz versions of hymns, spirituals and gospel music at La Cañada Presbyterian Church this Sunday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m.
LCPC Jazz Vespers is presented live and in-person in the sanctuary at LCPC. In addition, it will be livestreamed at live.lacanadapc.org.
The upcoming Jazz Vespers program will feature the Jack Lantz Sextet (Lance Rickman, alto and tenor saxophones; Jeff Kaye, trumpet; Ido Meshulam, trombone; plus Nick Morabito on bass, Dave Marks on drums and Lantz on piano).
With increasing war and unrest in the world, the theme for this month is “Peace and Unity.” The group will improvise on a wide range of familiar hymns and gospel music on that theme, and the liturgy will also pray for peace and unity among people.
Admission is free and no reservations are required for this hour-long event.
“Join us for an extraordinary celebration as we celebrate life and pray for peace around the world,” Lantz said.
La Canada Presbyterian Church is located at 626 Foothill Blvd. For further information, call the church office at (818) 790-6708 or visit lacanadapc.org.
