LCPC Presents Jazzy Christmas Carols

La Cañada Presbyterian Church will present a Christmas-themed Jazz Vespers on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 5 p.m. both live in-person and livestreamed online.
This session features the Jack Lantz Sextet. Jack Lantz will serenade the crowd on piano, Lance Rickman on saxophones, Jeff Kaye trumpet and Ido Meshulam on trombone. The rhythm section consists of Nick Morabito on bass and Dave Marks on drums. The group will improvise on a wide range of familiar Christmas carols. The service will include liturgy reflecting the themes of the holiday, and Lantz will tell the stories behind some of the carols.
The hourlong event held in the church’s sanctuary is free and requires no reservations. If you cannot attend in-person, tune into the livestream at live.lacanadapc.org. Jazz Vespers will also be livestreamed via the church’s pages on YouTube and Facebook.
La Cañada Presbyterian Church is located at 626 Foothill Blvd. Worship services are conducted in-person and are livestreamed on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. (traditional style) and 10:30 a.m. (contemporary style).
