Musso, Harney Propel La Cañada Past Millikan

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ basketball team defeated visiting Millikan High of Long Beach 42-34 in a nonleague game on Jan. 6.
Junior Jennifer Musso racked up 19 points, six steals, four rebounds and three assists, while sophomore Malia Harney poured in 12 points with four rebounds, two steals and two assists. Sophomore Madison Hunt registered six points, six rebounds, two assists and one block, sophomore Emma Sengul chipped in three points, one steal and one rebound, and junior Sydney Magtoto tallied three rebounds, two points and one steal. Senior Andrianna Pitsos recorded seven rebounds, three steals and one assist, while freshmen Tessa Choi and Violet Waugh each finished with one steal.
The Spartans (8-7 overall, 1-1 in league) will visit Blair High in Pasadena on Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m. before hosting San Marino on Jan. 17.


FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART

The Tologs lost to Louisville High of Woodland Hills 75-30 in their Sunshine League opener on Jan. 4.
Senior Isabelle Risha and junior Sophia Astacaan each chipped in eight points, while junior Ava Nawrocki scored five points. Sophomore Lori Yacoubian finished with four points, junior Jackie Chavarry registered three points and freshman Emily Petrosyan tallied two points.
FSHA (9-8, 0-1) will visit Immaculate Heart High in Los Angeles for a league game on Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. before hosting Notre Dame Academy of Los Angeles on Jan. 16.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

Flintridge Prep freshman Megan Quoch and the Wolves will visit Westridge School for a Prep League game on Jan 11

The Wolves resumed Prep League play at Providence High in Burbank on Jan. 10; the game ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
Flintridge Prep (16-1, 4-0) will visit Westridge School in Pasadena for a league game on Jan. 11 at 5 p.m. before traveling to Pasadena Polytechnic on Jan. 16.
