La Cañada Girls’ Water Polo Bows Out of Playoffs

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost to lost to visiting Irvine 11-8 in its CIF Southern Section Division II opener on Feb. 7.
Kadyn Day registered four goals, Lorelei Rocca chipped in two goals, and Kiley Ku and Lilli Perner each scored one goal.
The Spartans finished as unbeaten Rio Hondo League champions (20-7 overall).

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs lost to visiting California High of Whittier 15-14 in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division III playoffs on Feb. 8. FSHA previously defeated host Cypress 15-9 in its CIF opener on Feb. 6. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
Flintridge Sacred Heart finished the campaign fourth in the Mission League standings with a 2-3 record (16-9 overall).

The Wolves lost at Buena High in Ventura 11-8 in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs on Feb. 8. Flintridge Prep previously defeated visiting St. Lucy’s High of Glendora 8-6 in their CIF opener on Feb. 6. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
The Wolves finished the campaign as second in the Prep League standings with an 8-2 record (16-5 overall).
