Spartans Girls’ Soccer Season Ends in CIF Division IV Quarterfinals

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ soccer team lost at Walnut 4-1 in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs on Feb. 14.
Lucy Kim scored the lone goal, while Samantha Neumeier was credited with an assist on the play.
“Overall on the season, I was very proud of the team and what they achieved,” La Cañada coach Kevin Neumeier said. “We were a young team that had great leaders and came together during the season to make a good run in the playoffs.”
The Spartans finished the campaign second in the Rio Hondo League with a 5-3 record (12-3-4 overall).
