The La Cañada High School varsity softball team defeated visiting Duarte 10-4 in a nonleague game on March 14.
Junior Bentley Labrecque, who went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a walk at the plate, pitched a complete game with three strikeouts and no walks, while junior Aubrey Wurm recorded a home run, two RBIs and a run. Junior Grace Rocco finished with a double, two RBIs and two runs, sophomore Ava Perry tallied a double, two RBIs and a run, and sophomore Laila Kazazian registered a hit, two RBIs and a run. Senior Elle Leckrone walked twice and scored a pair of runs, freshman Riley Labrecque scored twice and stole a base, and senior Ashley Lovejoy scored a run and stole a base.
The Spartans lost to visiting Temple City 8-1 in a Rio Hondo League game on March 12.
Leckrone, who had a hit and an RBI at the plate, pitched four innings with five strikeouts and no walks. Bentley Labrecque, who recorded a double and a run at the plate, pitched three innings with three strikeouts. Kazazian tallied a base hit, while freshman Lesley Milton walked once.
La Cañada (7-6-1 overall, 2-2 in league) will host Monrovia for a league game on March 22 at 6:30 p.m. before hosting South Pasadena on March 26.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves secured a narrow 3-2 Prep League victory over visiting Westridge School of Pasadena on March 15 as junior Elise Fong pitched a complete game with four strikeouts.
Sophomore Mary Sinclair recorded a triple, two runs, a stolen base and a walk, while freshman Leighton Acker went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Junior Sienna Liston produced a hit and an RBI, senior Alex Von Thaden tallied a hit and a stolen base, and junior Sarah Rude walked once, stole a base and scored a run.
Flintridge Prep lost at Pasadena Polytechnic 4-3 in a league game on March 14. Fong pitched a six-inning complete game with seven strikeouts.
Senior Asta Uziel went 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, a run and a walk, while Sinclair went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base. Liston registered a hit, an RBI, a run and a stolen base, while senior Ava Burlingame, sophomore Emma Carmack and Von Thaden each had a base hit. Sophomore Allie Dennis scored a run, while Acker stole a base.
The Wolves overwhelmed visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick 14-2 in a league game on March 12.
Fong, who had a hit, an RBI and a run at the plate, pitched two scoreless innings with five strikeouts, one walk and no hits. Carmack, who had a hit, an RBI, a run, a walk and a stolen base at the plate, pitched three innings four four strikeouts. Sinclair produced a double, four RBIs, three runs and a stolen base, Von Thaden went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs, and Dennis went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI. Uziel contributed a hit, two runs, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base, Liston scored twice and stole a base, and Burlingame walked once and scored a run.
Flintridge Prep (8-2, 2-2) will host Providence High in Burbank for a league game on March 27 at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Rio Hondo Prep in Arcadia on March 29.
FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs routed Coastal Academy of Oceanside 19-2 in their Torrey Invitational finale on March 16. Senior Colleen Traver, who had two RBIs, a run and a walk at the plate, pitched a three-inning complete game with two strikeouts.
Junior Ava Nawrocki went 2-for-3 with a pair of triples, three RBIs, three runs and a walk, while freshman Emma Dolan went 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI. Sophomore Juliette Smith went 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and two runs, freshman Siena Gundersen went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, a run and a walk, and senior Pia Costanzo went 2-for-3 with two runs and a walk. Sophomore Ena Ramsey recorded a triple, three RBIs, two walks and a run, senior Megan Milton contributed a double and two RBIs, and freshman Jayne Bender produced a hit, two RBIs, a run and a walk. Junior Grace Garrity finished with three walks and three runs, while junior Alanna McCann walked once and scored a run.
FSHA posted an 8-0 victory over Tri-City Christian High of Vista in a tournament game on March 16. Senior Meaghan Coyle, who went 3-for-4 with an RBI, pitched a six-inning complete game with four strikeouts and no walks.
Ramsey went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run, Traver went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and senior Abi Blea went 2-for-3 with an RBI, a run and a walk. Nawrocki recorded a hit, an RBI and a run, while Bender finished with a hit and a run. Junior Gianna Candelora was credited with two runs, an RBI and a walk, Garrity scored twice, and Smith scored once.
The Tologs overwhelmed Canyon Crest Academy of San Diego with a 12-0 tournament victory on March 15.

Flintridge Sacred Heart suffered an 8-0 loss against Oceanside in its tournament opener on March 14.
Coyle pitched four innings with three strikeouts, while Nawrocki went 2-for-3. Blea, Gundersen and Traver each tallied a base hit, while Milton walked once.
