Softball: Flintridge Prep Outlasts Mayfield in Extras

The La Cañada High School varsity softball team has been on a break since defeating Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta in a nonleague game on March 27.
The Spartans (11-7-1 overall, 4-3 in league) will host Immaculate Heart High of Los Angeles for a nonleague game on April 12 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Monrovia on April 16.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs returned to action visiting Marymount High in Los Angeles on April 9. The Sunshine League game ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
FSHA (10-7, 1-1) will visit Immaculate Heart High in Los Angeles for a league game on April 11 at 3:15 p.m. before visiting Rio Hondo Prep in Arcadia on April 12.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves secured a narrow 5-4 extra-inning victory at Mayfield Senior in Pasadena in a Prep League game on April 4.
Junior Elise Fong pitched an eight-inning complete game with four strikeouts, while sophomore Mary Sinclair went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs.
Junior Sienna Liston went 2-for-4 with two runs, senior Asta Uziel recorded a hit and a run, and sophomore Emma Carmack and freshman Leighton Acker each tallied a base hit.
Senior Ava Burlingame walked once, while junior Sarah Rude stole a base.
Flintridge Prep (9-4, 3-4) will host Pasadena Polytechnic for a league game on April 11 at 3:45 p.m. before visiting Providence High in Burbank on April 16.
