United Methodist Church to Celebrate Earth Day

The La Cañada United Methodist Church will celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 21, with a worship service and a “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony.
The worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary where the church will give thanks for God’s creation and talk about how the community might continue to care for the Earth and end the climate crisis. Live butterflies will be released at the end of the service.
At 3 p.m., the “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony will be held at the picnic tables under the oak trees. All are welcome to attend, but the church asks that all animals be in a carrier or on a leash.
La Cañada United Methodist Church is located at 104 Berkshire Place across the street from La Cañada High School.
