Track and Field: Flintridge Prep Captures Boys’ League Title

Flintridge Prep track and field captured the boys’ team title at the Prep League finals, highlighting a group of local athletes competing in their respective league championships.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Flintridge Prep varsity boys’ track and field team won the Prep League finals at Burroughs High in Burbank with 132.50 team points on April 23.
In the 110-meter hurdles, Kevin Martinez finished first with a personal record time of 20.02 seconds. Ludovico Cordora followed closely behind in second place with a personal best of 20.91, while Felix Fey finished third with a time of 23.44, also a personal record.
Martinez continued his success in the 300 hurdles, claiming first place with a personal record time of 44.88. Cordora secured second place with a personal best of 49.99, and Felix Fey finished third with a time of 1:01.04, setting a new personal record.
The 4×400 relay team, consisting of Miles Bennett, Maxwell Craven, Luis Gorocica and Declan Mansbridge, claimed first place with a time of 3:48.02. In the 4×100 relay, the team of John Battaglia, Nico Chapman, Malcolm Cook and Craven secured second place with a time of 47.51.
Mansbridge finished second in the 1,600 with a personal record time of 4:34.81. Mason Perrigue followed closely behind in fourth place with a personal best of 4:49.30, while Leo McDonald finished fifth with a time of 4:53.99, also setting a personal record. Lucas Stanton secured sixth place with a time of 5:14.19, followed by Aiden Hwang in seventh with a time of 5:18.88.
Cook achieved second place in the 200 with a personal best time of 23.93, while Noah Willingham finished fifth with a time of 25.04, also setting a personal record.
In the 3,200 run, Carter Sakai secured second place with a personal best time of 10:19.89. William Carrig-Braun followed in fourth with a personal record of 10:32.39, and McDonald finished sixth with a time of 11:12.08, setting a new personal record. Stanton was seventh with a time of 11:39.86, followed by Rashad Entabi in 10th with a personal best time of 11:58.53. Gabriel Shaw finished 11th with a time of 12:26.91, and Adam Entabi claimed 13th with a personal record of 12:59.72.
Cook secured third place in the 100 with a personal best time of 11.75. Willingham finished fourth with a time of 12.01, while Battaglia claimed eighth with a personal record of 12.34.
In the 800, McDonald secured third place with a personal best time of 2:06.28. Mansbridge followed in fourth with a personal record of 2:07.59, while Perrigue finished fifth with a time of 2:13.44, setting a new personal best. Hwang secured seventh place with a time of 2:27.67, followed by Stanton in ninth with a time of 2:30.87. Rashad Entabi finished 10th with a personal record of 2:31.12, followed by Shaw in 11th with a time of 2:32.06.
Gorocica secured sixth place in the 400-meter dash with a personal record time of 57.07.
In the high jump event, Cook secured first place with a personal record of 5-8, while Bennett was fifth with a personal best of 4-10.
Martinez claimed first place in the long jump with a personal record distance of 20-5, while Cordora secured fifth place with a personal best of 16-4.
In the triple jump, Martinez took first place with a personal record distance of 40-2, while Cordora finished fourth with a personal best of 33-10 1/4.
Mac Peutet secured second place in the shot put event with a personal record throw of 32-6 1/2. Kevin Zhang finished third with a throw of 32-2, while Gorocica finished fourth with a personal best of 31-11.
In the discus event, Miles Yun claimed second place with a personal record throw of 78-1, while Chapman secured fourth place with a personal best of 61-11.
The Wolves’ varsity girls’ squad finished as league runner-up with 99 points.
Scarlett Coombes clinched first place in the 100 dash with a personal record time of 12.13 seconds, earning a spot in the California Top 50 list. Valentina Mancilla secured third place with a personal best of 12.88 seconds, while Lauren Bradford finished seventh with a personal record of 13.49 seconds.
In the 200 dash, Coombes also took first place with a personal best time of 25.08 seconds. Caydence Acker claimed third place with a personal record of 26.84 seconds, followed closely by Mancilla in fourth place with 27.00 seconds, and Chloe Bryant in sixth place with 28.72 seconds.
The 4×400 relay team, consisting of Addison Lee, Elyse Mauer, Kate Snaer and Coombes secured first place with a time of 4:17.05. In the 4×100 relay event, the team composed of Sophia Smith, Coombes, Bradford and Mancilla finished second with a time of 51.29.
Jenna Moutes claimed second place in the 800 run with a time of 2:31.54, followed by Mauer in third place with a personal record of 2:37.22. Snaer secured fifth place with a personal best of 2:53.64, Smith finished sixth with 2:54.78, Julia Bonk claimed seventh with 2:58.09, and Carla Oboza placed tenth with 3:05.34.
Finley Hamilton earned second place in the 300 hurdles with a personal record time of 53.18 seconds, while Hailey Wilson secured third place with 53.78 seconds. Pressley Huie finished fourth with 54.24 seconds, Story Lim claimed sixth with 57.21 seconds, and Sienna Beltz took eighth with 1:00.54.
In the 100 hurdles, Wilson secured third place with a personal record time of 18.53 seconds, followed by Hamilton in fourth place with 18.97 seconds, Huie in fifth place with 19.20 seconds, Beltz in sixth place with 19.76 seconds, and Lim in seventh place with 20.38 seconds.
Moutes earned third place in the 3,200 with a time of 12:52.97, while Julia Bonk secured ninth place with 13:35.26.
Smith claimed third place in the 400 with a personal record time of 1:03.42, followed by Snaer in fourth place with a personal best of 1:03.95, and Lee in sixth place with 1:06.36.
In the 1,600, Julia Bonk finished sixth with a time of 6:25.75, Sarah Bonk secured seventh with 6:35.05 and Oboza claimed eighth with 6:37.34.
In the shot put event, Kat Zirn secured first place with a personal record throw of 29-7, while Acker finished fourth with a personal best of 26-1. Kat Zirn also claimed first place in the discus event with a personal record throw of 113-8, while Acker finished sixth with 53-4.
Mancilla secured fifth place in the triple jump event with a personal best of 31-8 1/4, while Mauer finished ninth with 26-11 1/4. Hamilton earned sixth place in the high jump event with a personal best of 4-0. In the long jump event, Wilson finished seventh with a personal record of 14-5 1/4.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy varsity track and field team finished fifth with 67 1/2 team points in the Angelus League finals at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on April 25.
Paige Perkins finished second in the 1,600 with a time of 5:23.39. Mari Owen was eighth with a 5:55.92 time, Addy Van Dyck was ninth with a 5:59.73 time and Jadyn Walsh was 12th with a 6:18.77 time. In the 3,200, Perkins secured third place with a time of 12:05.86, while Owen finished fifth with 12:42.08, and Van Dyck claimed eighth with 12:53.48.
The 4×100 relay team, consisting of Audrey Reynoso, Madeline Barber, Frankie Anderson and Sachi Kaneko-Grun, finished second with a time of 53.00. In the 4×400 relay, Mika Kaneko-Grun, Sachi Kaneko-Grun, Frankie Chavez and Morgan Birkett secured third place with a time of 4:38.02.
Sachi Kaneko-Grun finished third in the 100 with a time of 13.01, and fifth in the 200 with a time of 27.44. Birkett claimed fourth place in the 400 with a time of 1:07.80, while Mika Kaneko-Grun finished sixth with 1:09.35. Sasha Leroy secured fifth place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 22.12.
In the long jump event, Lauren Kilpatrick secured second place with a distance of 16-1, while Lily Venne finished seventh with 12-11. For the high jump event, Kilpatrick finished fourth with a jump of 4-06, Julianna Munoz claimed sixth with 4-2, and Venne secured eighth with 4-2. Elle Gilhooly finished third in the shot put with a distance of 30-0, followed by Reni Martinez in fourth with 28-9, and Brianna Barragan in ninth with 21-11.

ST. FRANCIS
The St. Francis High School varsity track and field team finished fifth with 47 team points in the Mission League finals at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on April 25.
Sam Franco clinched first place in the 1,600 with a time of 4:21.20, followed by Luke Metcalf in third with 4:22.61, and Auge Martin in fourth with 4:25.02.
In the 3,200, Franco secured first place with a time of 9:16.94, while Martin finished third with 9:19.47, and Aidan Guzman claimed fifth with 9:28.71.
Metcalf finished third in the 800, completing the race in 1:58.20. William Nightingale came in eighth in the 400, posting a time of 52.53. The 4×100 relay team, comprised of Sam Khoh, Tyler Cofre, John Sanders and Nightingale, finished sixth with a time of 43.75.
In the high jump event, Niko D’Angora secured fifth place with a jump of 5-11, while William Martinez finished 11th with 5-5. Martinez placed 18th in the long jump with a distance of 18-5.
