Sheriff’s Crime Report

A petty theft was reported in the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard on May 17 between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The victim was grocery shopping, and while in the frozen food section, she was approached by a woman described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 140 pounds, in her late 30s wearing a light-colored shirt and orange pants. The woman put a food product in the victim’s face asking about it, and the victim advised her that she did not work at the store.
The victim continued shopping and later, when she was purchasing her items, noticed that her driver’s license and her Chase credit card were not inside her wallet. She immediately went home and began to search for her items. Later, she received a text alert from Chase bank advising her of an attempted fraudulent charge. She contacted the bank and informed them of the incident to decline the fraudulent charge and cancel the card.
