Sheriff’s Station Offers Vacation Checks

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station will provide vacation home check services for residents planning trips away from their homes.

Deputies and volunteers will periodically check properties to ensure everything is secure while homeowners are away. Homeowners must call the station’s front desk at (818) 248-3464 to request the service and provide dates they will be gone, emergency contact information and details on anyone checking the home.

The complimentary service aims to provide peace of mind for travelers leaving their residences unattended. However, the sheriff’s station reminds homeowners to still lock all doors and windows before departing.

“Don’t let worries about home security dampen your vacation vibes,” sheriff’s officials said in a Facebook post. “Let us help keep your property safe and secure. But before you leave, make sure you have locked all doors and windows.”
