San Dimas — Born Boston, Mass., she moved to Del Mar Beach with her family at 8 years old. She spent the majority of her life in the Pasadena/San Marino area. She attended UCLA, pledging Delta Gamma and eventually meeting and marrying Bert E. Dougherty II. After his passing in 1982, she continued serving as the area representative for assemblyman Richard Mountjoy, having also served as his initial campaign manager.

In 1995 she met and married Darrell “Red” J. Holman M.D. Living happily in Bradbury, they also traveled extensively, creating many great memories. Cecil loved and valued her friends and enjoyed an active social life while supporting numerous local charities. Throughout her long life, she was an elegant presence with a ready smile.
She is survived by sons Ed and Jim, 6 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Turner and Stevens Live Oak Chapel 200 E. Duarte Ave. in Monrovia on January 10, 2023 at 11:00.
