James Raymond Anderson, 82, of Bradbury, California, passed away on April 12, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on September 9, 1939, to Edna and Ray Anderson in Hollywood, California. He met the love of his life, Ann Marie Nyquist, in 1954 when he was 15 and she was 13. They were married at Pasadena Covenant Church on August 4, 1961 and went on to have two children, Karen Diane Anderson and Kristen Michelle Anderson.
Jim and Ann lived most of their 60 years together in La Cañada, California. Jim loved his community and especially his church, La Cañada Presbyterian Church. He volunteered his time serving on the Department of Regional Planning for the City of La Cañada Flintridge as well as many committees at church including the those that expanded the facilities, refurbished the pipe organ and selected new pastors.
Jim leaves behind his wife and daughters; brother Charles David Anderson; grandson, Steven Joseph Anderson; granddaughters Jennifer Marie Anderson and Jordan Tiana Anderson; great grandchildren Lucia Pyx Anderson, Liam Victor Anderson, Leif James Anderson and Penelope Ann Anderson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, California. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to La Cañada Presbyterian Church (missions) or Union Rescue Mission.
