Obituary: Barbara J. Dennerline

July 27, 1929 — Jan. 26, 2017

Barbara J. Dennerline, 87, passed away at Arcadia Methodist Hospital on Jan. 26 following a brief illness. She was born in Boulder, Colo. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in psychology and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
She and her late husband, Richard, were longtime residents of La Cañada Flintridge. Barbara was a resident of Royal Oaks Manor at the time of her passing.
She was involved in and held past president positions for many organizations, including Los Altos Children’s Home Society, P.E.O. Chapter MZ and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Group. She was a garden, library and art exhibit docent for the Huntington Library and Gardens for many years.
Barbara was an avid traveler who traveled all corners of the world. She had a great attitude, loved life and adventure that included sky diving on her 75th birthday.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Diane Greenwell (Loren) of Rancho Cucamonga, son Bruce Dennerline (Jennie) of Camarillo, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial celebration is being held on Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at Royal Oaks Manor in Bradbury.
