The American Cancer Society will hold its San Gabriel Valley Hope Gala, a premier fundraising event in the fight against cancer, this Saturday evening, Sept. 16. The event, to be held at Noor (300 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena), begins at 5:30 p.m.
Since its inception in 2010, this event has raised more than $500,000 to benefit cancer survivors and patients as well as ongoing research and advancement.
“The San Gabriel Valley Hope Gala draws support from Pasadena and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley,” an event spokesperson said. “With your support, the American Cancer Society will continue to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. We are working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the U.S. in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate, so please join us.”
