The 5th-graders at Paradise Canyon Elementary School celebrated their studies of American history by stepping back in time and being a student in school during the Colonial era. Students dressed the part, and spent the morning doing various activities, including writing with a quill and ink in hornbooks, making corn husk dolls, playing traditional games from that era and proudly painting American flags. Parent volunteers also dressed up and helped in the activities.
