Assisteens, an auxiliary of Assistance League of Flintridge, is a program that encourages and provides volunteer opportunities for young people in grades 7-12. This year, the Assisteens members have supported the Instrumental Music program with their gift of $5,000, which will be used toward the purchase of new instruments. This gift will afford music students in grades 4-6 more opportunity to play the instrument of their choice and will be used by young musicians for years to come.
Assisteens raises money in a variety of ways to fund ongoing Assistance League and Assisteens philanthropic programs that benefit their community. The goals are to develop a sense of community and personal responsibility, self-reliance, public speaking and leadership skills.
Assisteens 2018-19 season begins in the fall. Registration and information is available through the Assistance League of Flintridge website at alflintridge.org or call (818) 790-2211.
