AFTER PARTY: Beautiful Spanish Mediterranean

First published in the April 14 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

This beautiful Spanish home was built in 1942 by esteemed architect Horatio W. Bishop. It features a stately home, detached guest house and a small floral studio where the owner designs flowers for La Cañada and the surrounding communities. The property sits on an acre of manicured grounds nestled under oak trees, some of which are dated over 200 years old. Walk up the beautiful flagstone pathway of this magnificent home and pass the fountain to a terraced patio under massive oak trees. Romantic lanterns and a huge fire pit give this home’s outdoor park-like space an inviting and magical backdrop to the Home Tour After Party. Sip on Los Gringos margaritas or The Proper’s signature cocktail as the sun fades into the foothills. Enjoy curated nibbles while LCHS’s own jazz musicians, the Micah Ruan Quintet led by Henry Dearborn entertain, as the twinkling lights of La Cañada begin to glow.
