YMCA Provides Free Fitness Classes to LCUSD Staff

First published in the April 7 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

The YMCA of the Foothills will offer all La Cañada Unified School District staff free group fitness classes held at La Cañada Elementary School beginning Thursday, April 14, from 3:15-4:15 p.m.
The group fitness program will include body conditioning exercises led by experienced YMCA instructor, Diane Boccia. The program was previously suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will resume next week until the end of the school year in June.
“We are thrilled to restart this program and provide healthy living options to our local teacher community,” said Lori Durbin, director of membership and healthy living at the YMCA of the Foothills. “As a parent, I understand the full value of the educational leaders and providers in our districts, and we need to continue supporting them any way we can. At the Y, this is how we can show our support.”
