HISTORIC SPANISH GEM

First published in the April 14 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

This lovingly restored 1925 Andalusian home is a rare architectural gem in La Cañada and is a Mills Act property. Designed by renowned “golden age” architect Wallace Neff, it was originally built as a winter home for the Winters family from Chicago. The owners committed to restoring this home several years ago while raising three children in our community. The homeowners not only have the original blueprints, but many construction photos from the 1920s as well.
During your tour you will see many original features including the living room and its exquisite opera balcony, as well as many restored elements such as the master balcony and kitchen nook. The current homeowners have spent 15+ years searching for original Wallace Neff and other 1920s elements to incorporate into their restoration. Enjoy the journey back to the 1920s.
