The public is invited to join Sheriff’s Capt. Robert Hahnlein to tour the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Post on Aug. 30 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at McDonald’s at 449 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
“It will give us an opportunity to interact with the community, introduce everyone to our new Mobile Command Post, and answer questions,” Hahnlein said.
The event is being organized by the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association.
Hahnlein said the event is to give the community a chance to talk to Sheriff’s Department personnel, ask questions and share concerns.
Hahnlein took the position of captain at the Crescenta Valley Station in April this year. Hahnlein has also worked at stations in Altadena, Santa Clarita, Temple City, LASD headquarters and more.
When asked about his time at CV Station, he replied, “Everyone here is very friendly and has been very welcoming. It has been a great station to work for and we have a lot of community support.”
He added he has been overwhelmed by the support he has received by the station personnel and the local residents.
“If you see something suspicious or something that raises concern, please call us,” he said. “It is better to be safe. We are never bothered when a resident calls in.”
