FSHA Wins Wolfpack Tournament, Remains Undefeated

The Flintridge Sacred Heart varsity girls’ water polo team remained undefeated after winning the Claremont Tournament’s gold bracket, finishing with a dominant 16-4 route over Ramona on Saturday.
Marisol Cowles amassed a game-high seven goals while Kate Dolan registered four goals. Lily Waggoner produced three goals while Guinevere Andrews and Audrey Lawlor each scored once.
The Tologs opened the second day of tournament play by defeating Culver City, 11-6, earlier on Saturday. Waggoner tallied game-high five goals while Cowles posted four goals. Natalia DeKansky finished with seven saves in the cage, while Kaitlyn Beltz and Dolan each had one goal.
FSHA ended the first day of tournament play by blanking Pacifica High of Garden Grove, 18-0, last Friday, as Cowles amassed a game-high nine goals. Dolan recorded five goals, while Waggoner scored a pair of goals. Reese Artura and Sabrina Lauron each added one goal, while DeKansky had one save.
Flintridge Sacred Heart opened tournament play by routing Montebello, 25-6, earlier on Friday, as Cowles amassed a game-high 10 goals. It was the team’s fifth consecutive game with over 20 goals scored. Waggoner racked up six goals, while Dolan finished with four goals. Lawlor registered two goals, while Maddie DeRobertis, Beltz and Artura each scored once.
The Tologs crushed host San Marino, 22-1, in a nonleague game last Thursday.
FSHA previously routed Pasadena Poly, 21-2, in a nonleague game, as Cowles racked up game-high seven goals. Waggoner and Artura each finished with four goals, while Dolan registered three goals. Andrews had two goals, while DeRobertis scored once. DeKansky tallied three saves and Lauren Larson had one save.
Flintridge Sacred Heart (9-0 overall) will play Mayfield Senior of Pasadena for a nonleague game at Occidental College on Friday, Dec. 9, at 5:15 p.m.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves competed in the Claremont Tournament last weekend, finishing with a 2-2 record.
Flintridge Prep lost to Culver City, 11-6, after being edged by Ramona, 6-5, on Saturday. The Wolves picked up a pair of victories on the first day of tournament play, defeating Heritage, 17-2, and Burbank, 17-4, on Friday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
The Wolves previously lost a nonleague game at Glendale, 9-7. Alex Thein scored three goals, Nico Seaver recorded a pair of goals, and Katelin Kinne and Sarah Iturbe each had one goal.
Flintridge Prep (3-3 overall) will open Prep League action by hosting Pasadena Poly on Friday, Dec. 9, at 3:30 p.m.

LA CAÑADA
The Spartans kicked off the regular season this week and will travel to Arcadia for a nonleague game on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m.
